NEET Result 2019has been declared on June 5, 2019 in online mode at ntaneet.nic.in. To check results, candidates must enter their roll number, date of birth and security code; alternately, the NEET 2019 result link is also available below on this page. NEET result 2019 is the score card with candidate’s name, roll number, All India rank, percentile score, total and subject-wise marks, category rank. NEET category-wise qualifying cutoff has been declared with the result of NEET. The cutoff scores for general category is 701-134, which is equivalent to 50th percentile. Along with the declaration of the NEET 2019 result, the list of 50 toppers will also be released by NTA. NEET qualified candidates are eligible to participate in either All India Quota counselling conducted by MCC or state counselling conducted by the respective states or both. Seat allotment for MBBS/ BDS seats will be based on the NEET 2019 rank (or marks) of the candidate. It is to be noted that MCC and the individual states will release separate merit lists for seat allotment.

How to check NEET Result – Step by Step Process

Candidates can check the step-by-step procedure listed below to check results of NEET 2019 and download their scorecards.

  • Step 1: Visit the official website at ntaneet.nic.in

  • Step 2: Click on the “View NEET (UG) – 2019 Result” tab given on the screen.

  • Step 3: Enter your roll number, date of birth and security pin displayed on screen.

  • Step 4: The result consisting of the scorecard is displayed.

  • Step 5: Download the NEET 2019 result by clicking on the ‘Print’ button and then save it.

  • Step 6: Candidates are advised to save a copy of their NEET result 2019 and keep it safe in their systems for future reference.

NEET 2019 Result – Cutoff (ANNOUNCED)

  • Candidates are required to obtain minimum qualifying percentile in NEET 2019 in order to qualify for further admission process.

  • Candidates belonging to Unreserved (UR) category are required to score equivalent to at least 50thpercentile and those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40thpercentile to be considered for AIQ and state counselling process.

  • The cutoff scores equivalent to the percentile has been declared by the NTA, which has been mentioned in the table below.

NEET Merit List 2019

NTA has released the merit list for counselling using NEET result 2019. Merit lists has been prepared category wise. It contain information like the merit rank, marks, roll number and percentile. Please note that reserved category candidates can appear in more than one NEET 2019 merit lists.

NTA has shared the merit lists with central and state counselling authorities, which will be used for admission purposes. The respective counselling authorities will then publish subsequent merit lists as per their guidelines. MCC will release merit lists for admission to All India Quota seats as well as Deemed and Central universities seats. The respective state counselling authorities will prepare the merit lists for candidates who are native to the state.

What happens when two candidates obtain same marks in NEET Result 2019?

The inter-se merit or All India NEET rank in the result of NEET 2019, where two or more candidates score equal marks, is determined by employing the tie-breaking criteria described in detail below:

  • Biology Marks– Candidates with higher marks in Biology in NEET are given a higher order of merit compared to those with lesser marks in Biology.

  • Chemistry Marks – In case, there is still a tie, then candidates’ marks in Chemistry will be considered. Candidate with higher marks in Chemistry is given a higher order of merit compared to those with lesser marks in Chemistry.

  • Less Incorrect Answers – If the tie persists, the candidate with the lesser number of incorrect answers in NEET will be given a higher order of merit compared to others.

  • Age Factor – If the tie is not broken even after considering all the above factors, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher in the order of merit compared to others.

NEET Result 2019 – Percentile score

The percentile of NEET is the minimum scores which must be obtained by aspirants to pass in NEET 2019. As per the official prospectus, the percentile scores are determined on the basis of higher marks secured in NEET 2019 exam.

How NEET 2019 percentile is calculated?

As per the NEET FAQs 2019, published by NTA, “a percentile rank is the percentage of scores that falls below a given score in a group.” Along with this, the authority has also mentioned the formula based on which the NEET percentile score of a candidate has been calculated. NEET Answer Key 2019

NTA has released the final NEET 2019 answer key on June 5. The test takers were challenge the official answer keys until May 31 with the payment of Rs. 1000 through credit/debit cards and net banking. The scores to be obtained by aspirants are mentioned in NEET result 2019. Courses offered through NEET

Admissions to the following courses is on the basis of NEET 2019.

  • MBBS and BDS – NEET 2019 is the only gateway for admission to MBBS and BDS government and private colleges, central universities, deemed institutes/universities across India except AIIMS and JIPMER which are out of NEET ambit.

  • AYUSH courses – NEET result 2019 is also the channel for admissios to all AYUSH courses offered across India including Ayurveda (BAMS), Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS), Unani (BUMS), Siddha (BSMS) and Homeopathy (BHMS).

  • B.VSc. and AH courses – Admissions to 15% All India Quota seats in Veterinary colleges offering B.VSc. and AH courses (excluding Jammu & Kashmir) is also on the basis of NEET 2019 result.

  • To pursue medical and dental courses from foreign countries, it is mandatory to qualify in NEET.

What after NEET Result 2019?

  • NEET qualified candidates (except candidates from J&K) need to participate in the MCC conducted centralised counselling process for the All India Quota. Candidates can register for the centralised NEET Counselling from the second week of June 2019.

  • Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir state who have qualified the exam but have not opted to participate in All India Quota counselling must register for the state counselling process of J&K.

  • Qualified candidates can also register the state counselling process of the respective states if they fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by the respective state authorities.

 

NEET Counselling 2019

The admission to MBBS and BDS seats across the country will be as per the following criteria.

  1. 15% All India Quota seats: These seats from all government seats across the country are reserved under All India Quota seats. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will conduct the counselling for admission to 15% All India Quota seats on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

  2. 85% State Quota seats: The remaining 85% seats in government and private medical, as well as private colleges, will be reserved under state quota seats. The admission to 85% state quota seats will be granted by respective state counselling authorities and only the domiciled candidates of the particular state will be considered for admission.

  3. Central Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities: All the seats offered by medical and dental central institutes/universities as well as deemed universities will be allotted on the basis of NEET 2019 result. MCC will conduct the counselling for 100% seats in central institutes and deemed universities.

  4. State/Management/NRI Quota seats: NEET UG result 2019 will be the basis for admission to State/Management/NRI quota seats offered by private medical or dental colleges or any private university.

  5. Central Pool Quota seats: All the qualified candidates who will be nominated under Central Pool quota seats will be granted admission on the basis of their NEET scorecard 2019 through the counselling for such candidates will be done by MCC.
